Israeli aircraft carried out airstrikes early Sunday on various locations across the Gaza Strip, following the killing of Palestinians and the injury of others by Israeli fire on Saturday.
The Israeli army admitted to killing three Palestinians in different areas of the Gaza Strip, claiming they posed an immediate threat to forces deployed in the field.
In a statement, the army alleged that combat troops from the 188th Brigade operating in southern Gaza detected three armed Palestinians who crossed the so-called “yellow line” and approached Israeli forces. It further claimed that one of them attempted to take military equipment before fleeing the area.
The statement added that the Israeli air force carried out an airstrike, directed by the brigade’s fire system, killing what it described as an “armed individual” west of the yellow line.
In northern Gaza, the army also claimed in the same statement that it detected several “armed individuals” who crossed the yellow line and approached Israeli forces, which it described as an immediate threat. It said troops opened fire upon spotting them, resulting in the killing of two of the individuals.
On Saturday as well, Palestinian medical sources said that the Israeli army killed two Palestinians and wounded several others in attacks carried out in different parts of the Gaza Strip.
The sources confirmed that a number of Palestinians were injured in an airstrike carried out by an Israeli aircraft near the entrance of the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.
Anadolu Agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying that all the areas targeted by the Israeli army had previously been evacuated by Israeli forces under the ceasefire agreement.
These incidents come as part of ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since October 10, 2025.
