After missing Argentina’s last match against Venezuela, Lionel Messi is back in the national team squad — and fans are eagerly waiting to see whether he’ll play in today’s friendly against Puerto Rico.

Head coach Lionel Scaloni confirmed that the Argentine star is in good physical shape after scoring two goals in Inter Miami’s 4–0 win over Atlanta United, but said he will speak with Messi first before making the final call on his participation.

Scaloni told reporters:

“I watched Messi play on Saturday, and he seemed to finish the game well. We’ll talk before the final training session, and if he feels ready — he’ll play.”

The match will take place at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Inter Miami’s home ground, after being moved from Chicago due to security and logistical concerns.
