The deadlock was finally broken in the 65th minute when left-back Álvaro Carreras took advantage of confusion inside the box, reacting quickly to a deflected ball and sending a low shot into the left corner of the net.

Kylian Mbappé wrapped up the victory in stoppage time, finishing from close range after receiving a well-timed cross from substitute Brahim Díaz during a fast counterattack, sealing all three points for the Spanish giants.
