Head coach Lionel Scaloni confirmed that the Argentine star is in good physical shape after scoring two goals in Inter Miami’s 4–0 win over Atlanta United, but said he will speak with Messi first before making the final call on his participation.
Scaloni told reporters:
“I watched Messi play on Saturday, and he seemed to finish the game well. We’ll talk before the final training session, and if he feels ready — he’ll play.”
