European clubs have continued their unmatched dominance in the FIFA Club World Cup, claiming the title for the 17th time in the tournament’s history after Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain booked their places in the final, with Chelsea sealing qualification through a convincing 3–0 victory.
Since the competition’s inaugural edition in 2000, only teams from Europe’s UEFA and South America’s CONMEBOL have lifted the trophy. However, European clubs have overwhelmingly dominated, with South American sides winning it just four times.
Real Madrid tops the list as the most successful club in the tournament’s history with five titles, followed by Barcelona with three. Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Brazil’s Corinthians share third place with two titles each.
Other notable champions include Liverpool, Manchester United, and Manchester City from England; AC Milan and Inter Milan from Italy; and Brazil’s São Paulo and Internacional Porto Alegre — each securing the title once.
