Samsung Nears Galaxy S26 Reveal… Here’s the Expected Date

Although Samsung has not officially announced the date of its next Unpacked event, new leaks have pointed to a likely timeframe for the launch of the Galaxy S26 series. According to Evan Blass, one of the most reliable sources in smartphone leaks, the event is expected to take place on February 25—a date he confirmed after similar reports appeared in South Korean media.

With no conflicting information from other credible sources, it is widely assumed that the event will be held on or around that date. The timing is somewhat unusual, as Samsung typically unveils its Galaxy S lineup in January, but the absence of an official announcement so far strengthens the likelihood of a February launch.

The Unpacked event is expected to introduce three smartphones, following the same lineup as last year: the standard Galaxy S26, the mid-range Galaxy S26 Plus, and the top-tier Galaxy S26 Ultra. Recent reports suggest that this year’s upgrades will be relatively modest, despite earlier rumors hinting at major changes planned for Samsung’s 2026 flagship strategy.

There had also been speculation that Samsung might replace the Plus model with a new ultra-slim Edge variant. However, Apple’s success with its iPhone 17 strategy—bringing Pro-level features to the base model without raising prices—appears to have prompted Samsung to stick with the formula that has worked well in recent years.
