A leaked memo claims OpenAI’s CEO urged teams to improve ChatGPT after Google’s new Gemini 3 model surpassed it in key benchmarks.
Google has released the professional version of its AI model, “Nano Banana Pro,” alongside the launch of the third generation of its AI assistant, Gemini 3, according to a report by CNBC.
Josh Woodward, Vice President at Google Labs, confirmed that the capabilities of Nano Banana Pro go far beyond the features introduced in the model’s initial release last August.
Woodward praised the upgraded model, saying: “It’s fantastic with charts. It can create slide decks. It can process up to 14 different images or 5 different characters while maintaining consistency across them.”
The new model continues the momentum sparked by the original Nano Banana, which created significant buzz when it was first launched. Woodward noted that the earlier version attracted more than 13 million new users to Gemini when it debuted in September.
Users can now access Nano Banana Pro with limited usage through Google’s free tools such as Gemini and NotebookLM, while paid subscribers benefit from higher usage limits and expanded features.
One of the standout advancements is Nano Banana Pro’s impressive ability to generate clear, accurate Arabic text inside images, outperforming most AI image-generation models. This breakthrough has encouraged users across social media to experiment creatively and produce a wide range of AI-generated images featuring Arabic typography.
