In a surprising move that challenges major brands, Nuu has officially launched its new Nuu B40 5G smartphone in the United States — priced at just $299, offering a unique experience with its secondary rear display and sleek design.
The Nuu B40 features a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED main display with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1100 nits of peak brightness for a smooth, vivid viewing experience.
The secondary screen — dubbed the “Vista Display” — is a 1.6-inch AMOLED panel with 228×460 resolution and 500 nits brightness, elegantly placed beside the dual rear cameras.
This smart display can show the time, date, notifications, battery status, and media controls, and can even act as a camera viewfinder or shutter button when taking photos.
Under the hood, the Nuu B40 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7025 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
It packs a 16MP front camera, while the back hosts a 64MP main sensor and a 2MP macro lens.
The camera app supports dual-view video recording (front and rear simultaneously), Pro mode, and RAW photo capture for advanced users.
The phone comes with a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging via USB Type-C, and it runs Android 15 right out of the box.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and dual SIM support, along with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
However, it lacks NFC and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Nuu B40 5G is available in Midnight Grey for $299.99, and is compatible with T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Mint, US Mobile, and several other U.S. carriers.
